This year's

winterknights fest hit a fantastic total of 33 fanworks, including 10 pieces of art, 2 fic/art combos, and 21 fics.

An impish grin spreads across his Arthur’s face as he relaxes, as much as he can, between the armrest. This is the scene that greets Leon when he comes around the bend, sweater in his hand and bells still jingling on his ridiculous elf shoes. The striped tights are suddenly tighter than they were five steps ago.

Merlin swallows, but he’s not yet ready to let go of his irritation. “We swore, no earlier than 8. Some of us need sleep if you want me to be holly and jolly.”

After the dragon revealed that Arthur will have to marry and produce heirs in order to fulfill his destiny at some point in the future, Merlin sees all his dreams of being with the man he had been pining after for years destroyed. It is the night of the Winter Solstice when he remembers that a wish upon a falling star is supposed to come true at that time of the year. So Merlin climbs the highest of Camelot's towers to see if there's any truth to this rumor and asks the gods for one night with Arthur.

Arthur wants to make Mordred's first Christmas after the death of Morgana and Leon (Mordred's parents) great. He goes to the Marvelous Magical Toy Shop to make that happen. He doesn't expect to find something for his perfect Christmas while he's there.

After being outed on national TV, Arthur goes to a remote Hebridean with his band mates for New Year's Eve, to avoid the paparazzi. At the same time, he hopes to discover more about his mother's origins. But he soon finds that blond hair and nice knees alone don't open any doors on Hogmanay. In which Arthur calls Merlin names. They argue and he learns that yes, there is a dance called the Gay Gordons, and no, perhaps disappointingly, it doesn't mean what he thought it meant.
